Obverse description The obverse is printed in red and black on cream paper, dominated by the elaborate municipal coat of arms of Naugard in Pommern at centre, rendered in a baroque cartouche style with acanthus scrollwork and a crowned helmet as crest; the shield bears a blue inescutcheon with a lion rampant, fleurs-de-lis, and a red brick gate tower with water at the base. The denomination '1 M' appears in large ornate red script within decorative panels on both the left and right, each flanked by rope-and-chain vignettes. The issuing authority's payment obligation is inscribed in Gothic script across the top, with a serial number panel at lower right and an account number panel at lower left; the printer's imprint reads 'FLEMMING-WISKOTT A.G. GLOGAU' at the foot.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in brown and black on cream paper in a tripartite layout. The central vignette presents a Gothic brick church with a tall steeple, rendered in fine letterpress linework against a dark foliated background, with the denomination '1 M' in white script above. The left panel contains a bust portrait of Otto von Bismarck within a circular frame, accompanied by a text block in Gothic script noting his service as Kreisdeputierter in Naugard in 1844. The right panel bears a bust portrait of Major Ferdinand von Schill within a matching circular frame, with an inscription referencing his defence of Naugard against 4,000 Napoleonic troops on 17 February 1807; the monogram 'WHL' and the patent mark 'D.R.G.M. 795679' appear at foot.
