Obverse description The left half of the obverse is occupied by a bold woodcut-style vignette set against a black ground, presenting the heraldic shield of Bad Doberan surmounted by a mural crown: the upper field shows a leaping red stag, and the lower field a swimming swan rendered in fine hatching, all framed by elaborate red and cream scrollwork. To the right, a text panel in Gothic blackletter script states the issuing authority and the payment order, with the denomination 'Eine Mark' printed in large red Gothic letters on a hatched ribbon cartouche; the place name 'Bad Doberan' appears below alongside a manuscript authorisation signature. The serial number and account designation 'Konto C' are typeset at the foot of the left vignette panel, and the printer's imprint 'FLEMMING-WISKOTT-A.-G.-GLOGAU' runs along the bottom margin.
