| Obverse description | Tan-grey ground with the crowned municipal coat of arms of Schwaan at centre, bearing a swan on the shield and surmounted by elaborate crimson scrollwork mantling; a swan in flight flanks each side of the vignette. A bold crimson band below carries the issuer legend in white Fraktur script, beneath which the validity date and two manuscript signatures appear over printed authority lines. Denomination '1 Mark' is repeated in black Fraktur at the upper left and upper right corners. Artist and printer attributions 'H. Hausmann' and 'Oldenburg i.O.' are inscribed in the lower corners of the vignette. |
