Opis awersu	The central vignette presents a large, gnarled oak tree rendered in an expressive woodcut-like style, its spreading canopy occupying the full width of the note against a pale underprint. To the left of the trunk, the denomination is stated in Gothic blackletter script as 'Eine Mark', while to the right appear the issuing authority 'Gemeinde Trittau' and the title 'Gemeindevorsteher' accompanied by a manuscript facsimile signature. A patriotic motto in Gothic script runs along the upper border, and a validity clause is printed along the lower margin.

Opis rewersu	The reverse is printed in a multicoloured letterpress in teal, yellow, red, and black, with the denomination '1 Mark' repeated in red Gothic script at each corner of the teal border. A central rectangular vignette set within a yellow octagonal frame presents a coloured view of the Gasthaus Hinsch, a local inn with red-roofed wings flanking a white rendered facade, sheltered by leafy trees. The heading 'Notgeld.' appears in bold Gothic blackletter above the vignette, with the locality designation 'Für Trittau i/Holst.' below.
