| Beschrijving voorzijde | The note is laid out in three vertical panels against a gold and blue ground. The central panel bears a large oval cartouche enclosing an elaborate quartered coat of arms supported by two rampant lions and surmounted by a crown, executed in gold, red, blue, and black. The left flanking panel carries a shield with crossed tools and the motto "Glück auf! Hierwohnt ein rei Geschlecht", while the right panel bears a shield with a red cross and the motto "Standhaft und treu!", with the denomination "Eine Mark" in Gothic script at the upper corners of each lateral panel and the issuing authority inscription in Fraktur lettering along the lower margin. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is arranged in three vertical panels with a blue and terracotta colour scheme. The central vignette presents a flat graphic rendering of the Schlosshofeinfahrt (castle courtyard gateway), dated 1685, with a red-tiled roof and arched entrance portal. The left lateral panel contains a full-length period figure identified as "Landgraf Philipp" in 17th-century dress, the right panel shows a figure labelled "Burgvogt", and the denomination "Eine Mark" in Gothic script appears at the foot of each flanking panel, with the place name "Philippsthal a. d. Werra" centred along the lower margin. |
