| Obverse description | The obverse is enclosed by a bold red and black zigzag border and carries a tricolour underprint in grey, red, and orange evoking the German national colours. Two symmetrically placed vignettes of a stylised owl perched atop an open book, rendered in a caricatural illustrative manner, flank a central cartouche bearing a Low German humorous verse in letterpress. The denomination "EEN MARK" appears in a rectangular panel at the top, while the lower margin records the place name "Tonndorf-Lohe, den 30. März 1921," a validity clause, and a manuscript signature of the Gemeindevorsteher. |
