Obverse description Printed in orange and grey-brown on pale grey paper, the obverse carries a large central vignette of the Wiedenbrück municipal seal rendered as a circular medallion: a key and twin-towered church façade above a cartwheel, all within a Gothic lettered legend. Two armoured medieval sentinel figures flank the seal at left and right against a woodcut-style foliate background. The denomination "1" appears in large orange Gothic numerals at both upper corners, with the title "Eine Mark" in decorative Gothic lettering across the top. Below, the legend "Gutschein für den Geldverkehr" and "Stadt Wiedenbrück" appear in bold Gothic script, with the issue date "1. 1. 1921" and two manuscript signatures with their printed titles (Bürgermeister and Stadtverordnetenvorsteher).

Reverse description Printed in dark brown and pale blue on grey paper, the reverse is dominated by a large woodcut-style vignette signed "Nausester" in the upper right corner, showing a night watchman with a staff and dog on a cobblestone lane beside a thatched building — a scene evoking the old town mill rampart (Möullenwall). A three-line verse in Low German dialect in Gothic blackletter script runs across the top of the note. At the lower left, the denomination "1" appears in large blue Gothic characters alongside a two-line descriptive caption in the same dialect, with "Eine Mark" in blue Gothic lettering at the lower right. The printer's imprint "Ad. Eßich & Co., Oldenburg i. O." appears at the foot.
