| Obverse description | The upper field carries the bold Fraktur heading 'Stadt Cosel O.S.' printed in green and black against a horizontally ruled underprint. At centre, the municipal coat of arms of Cosel is rendered as a heraldic shield surmounted by a crenellated tower in green, with two goat heads and a recumbent goat on the shield, flanked symmetrically by oak-branch vignettes; the denomination 'Eine Mark' appears in large Fraktur lettering to both left and right of the arms. The issue date 'Cosel, den 1. April 1921' is placed at lower left, with a manuscript signature above the legend 'Der Magistrat:' at lower right. |
