Obverse description The upper portion of the note carries the title inscription in Gothic blackletter script against a dark band. Below, a panoramic vignette in blue-grey and black tones renders the townscape of Grömitz, with a windmill to the left, a church steeple rising above clustered rooftops, and trees framing the scene. A central red text panel gives the validity clause dated 12 Mai 1921, flanked on each side by large interlocked denomination numerals '50 PFG' in red and white, with two facsimile signatures below.

Reverse description The central denomination strip across the note's middle reads 'EINE MARK' in bold block capitals against a teal ground. Below, the main vignette presents a half-portrait of a bearded fisherman in work clothing and a wide-brimmed hat, rendered in a colourful illustrative style against a coastal Baltic landscape with nets and beach huts visible to the left. A red lower panel contains a four-line German verse in Gothic script, flanked by large '50 PFG' denomination figures in teal and red.
