背面描述 The reverse is executed in a richly coloured illustrative style by the artist O. Kurz, divided into three vertical vignette panels separated by decorative borders with red and black folk-art ornament. The left panel shows a farmer harvesting grain, the centre panel a gardener collecting fruit into a large basket beneath a fruiting tree, and the right panel two fishermen mending nets — allegorical representations of Wedel's agricultural and maritime trades. A two-line verse in Gothic script runs above and below the triptych.

备注

Wedel, a small town on the Elbe west of Hamburg, issued this note during the Notgeld wave that swept German municipalities in 1921 — a period when chronic coin shortages and postwar monetary instability pushed even minor local authorities into printing their own emergency currency. Stadt Wedel had no particular banking infrastructure behind it; the note circulated on municipal authority alone, redeemable in theory against Reichsmark equivalent.

The designer credit to O. Kurz is unusually specific for a provincial Notgeld. Local artists were frequently commissioned for these series, and the Wedel issues were among the more carefully produced examples from smaller Holstein towns.
