Denomination cartouches bearing "1" in white on dark grounds are placed at upper left and upper right, flanked by decorative floral rosette borders, with secondary vignettes of a sailboat and a lakeside figure in circular frames to either side of the central portrait. The validity clause reading "Dieser Schein verliert seine Gültigkeit einen Monat nach Bekanntmachung im Ostholst. Anz., Malente, den 20. Nov. 1920. Der Gemeindevorsteher:" appears at the foot, accompanied by a manuscript signature. |

A large central rectangular vignette presents a finely rendered landscape view of the Uklei-See (Ukleisee), with a wooden footbridge and park bench beneath overhanging trees, captioned "Ukleisee" at lower left. Vertical denomination panels bearing "1 M." in ornate cartouches with arrow ornaments flank the central vignette on each side. Below the vignette, an orange-brown panel carries a two-column poetic text in Gothic script, and the issuer name "MALENTE-GREMSMÜHLEN" is set in bold majuscules at the foot, with the printer's imprint "DRUCK VON H.
