| Obverse description | Printed in orange-brown and black on cream paper, the obverse centres on a vignette bust portrait of a rosy-cheeked young woman with curling hair, identified by the ribbon banner below as "Voss' Luise – Das rosenwangige Mägdelein." Denomination cartouches bearing "1" in white on dark grounds are placed at upper left and upper right, flanked by decorative floral rosette borders, with secondary vignettes of a sailboat and a lakeside figure in circular frames to either side of the central portrait. The validity clause reading "Dieser Schein verliert seine Gültigkeit einen Monat nach Bekanntmachung im Ostholst. Anz., Malente, den 20. Nov. 1920.
