Obverse description At left, a large intaglio vignette of the Polish crowned white eagle on a red shield, flanked by decorative foliate scrollwork, printed in black, red, and ochre. To the right, the denomination title 'JEDNA MARKA POLSKA' appears in a red panel at top, followed by a text block in black letterpress declaring German Reich responsibility for redemption, and the authority line of the General-Government of Warsaw with date 'Warszawa, dn. 9-go grudnia 1916 roku.' Numeral '1' appears at lower left and right corners, with a small circular eagle seal at centre bottom.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in blue and red, with a central guilloche rosette in red surrounding a large numeral '1', framed by dense symmetrical arabesque and foliate underprint in blue. At upper centre, the issuing authority inscription is set within an ornamental border, and at lower centre the denomination is repeated. Two oval vignettes at left and right each contain a female head in profile, rendered in blue intaglio, within decorative frames.
