Obverse description Central shield bearing the stag-horn arms of Regenstein, surmounted by an ornate crested helm with elaborate foliate mantling extending across the field. The heraldic composition is rendered in the late-Gothic style characteristic of mid-sixteenth-century German coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the entire device, reading MON. NOV. AR. VLR. C. I. REGEN., identifying the coin as a new silver issue of Ulrich, Count in Regenstein.
