| Obverse description | Central field bearing an elaborate infinite knot motif, a decorative interlaced design characteristic of Ottoman decorative arts of the period. The design fills the flan with a symmetrical, continuously looping pattern. The coin is crudely struck by the hammered method, with uneven flan surfaces and moderate die wear typical of provincial Ottoman copper coinage. Significant encrustation and verdigris patina obscure fine detail. |
