Obverse description Draped bust of Violante Doria Lomellini facing right, with loosely flowing hair adorned with a floral ornament and ribbon, rendered in a baroque style typical of mid-17th century Italian coinage. The truncation shows elaborate drapery with a brooch or knot detail at the shoulder. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, separated from the central effigy by a beaded inner border. The portrait closely follows the typology of the Dombes luigino prototypes issued under the French princes of Dombes.
