Obverse description Central vignette rendered in intaglio presents the ancient Roman Temple of Jupiter at Baalbek, with its six towering Corinthian columns and surrounding archaeological ruins set against a light guilloche underprint. The bank title in Arabic script (مصرف لبنان) runs along the top, with the denomination numeral in a hexagonal cartouche at upper right and a carved Medusa-like stone relief at lower right. Two signature panels with Arabic text appear at lower right, accompanied by the date of issue and the city of issue inscription.
