To the left in the outer copper-nickel ring appears a crescent and star device, while a stylised tulip motif is positioned to the right. The upper arc of the outer ring bears the legend 'OSMANLI PADİŞAHLARI', and the lower arc carries the inscription '1494-1566 I. SÜLEYMAN (KANUNI)' identifying the sultan's birth and death years and his epithet. |
