| Beschrijving keerzijde | Printed in red-brown ink throughout with an elaborate guilloche lathe-work border filling the entire field. A central oval vignette contains the Peruvian coat of arms — the quartered shield with vicuña, cinchona tree, and cornucopia, flanked by national flags and surmounted by a laurel wreath — with the legend REPUBLICA PERUANA on a ribbon below. The denomination numeral "1" appears in ornate cartouches at each corner, and the inscriptions CHEQUE CIRCULAR and PERU are set within decorative banners above and below the central vignette respectively. |
