| 背面描述 | Central device consisting of an elaborate interlaced crowned cipher of Maximilian Emanuel composed of two intertwined script letters beneath a royal crown, all rendered in an ornate Baroque style within the open field. The surrounding legend, divided by the crown at top, reads 1712 DVX BAVARI • BRABANT C • FLAND Z •, denoting his titles as Duke of Bavaria, Brabant, and Count of Flanders, with the date incorporated into the legend. |

Maximilian Emanuel of Bavaria governed the Spanish Netherlands — including Namur — as Governor-General, but by 1712 his position was precarious. He had backed Louis XIV's grandson for the Spanish throne, and the War of the Spanish Succession had turned decisively against France. These liards were struck in the final window before the Treaties of Utrecht stripped him of his governorship entirely in 1713, making the two-year production run a direct casualty of the peace settlement rather than any administrative decision.
