| Reverse description | Central field bears the elaborately quartered civic arms of Luxembourg City, surmounted by a royal crown. The date 1615 is split to the left and right of the shield. The surrounding Latin legend, partially legible, reads ARCHID · AVST · DVC · BVRG · ET · LVXENB, proclaiming the rulers' titles as Archdukes of Austria and Dukes of Burgundy and Luxembourg. The irregular hammered flan displays considerable verdigris patination typical of unemitted copper pattern pieces. |
