Description de l’avers	Printed in red on a light background, the obverse bears a right-facing portrait vignette of Lempira, the Lenca chieftain and national hero, occupying the right half of the note, with his name inscribed to the right. The national coat of arms of Honduras appears as a vignette to the left, surrounded by guilloche underprint patterns and large numeral "1" guards at each corner. The issuer inscription "REPUBLICA DE HONDURAS, C.A. BANCO CENTRAL DE HONDURAS" runs along the top, with the date and serial number printed above and below the central design area, and three facsimile signatures with titles arranged along the lower portion.

Description du revers	The reverse, printed in red on a light background, presents a panoramic intaglio vignette of the Mayan ruins of Copán, including the ball court and stairway, rendered in fine engraved detail across the central field. A decorative pre-Columbian motif appears at the top center, flanked by the issuer's name "BANCO CENTRAL DE HONDURAS" along the top margin, with the numeral "1" in guilloche at the right. The inscription "RUINAS DE COPAN JUEGO DE PELOTA Y ESCALINATA" appears in a panel along the lower portion of the note.
