正面描述	The obverse features the Hanseatic city seal bearing the coat of arms of Limbaži prominently in the center. To the left of the central device, an element of a Gothic window tracery is depicted, while to the right, ethnographic ornamental motifs characteristic of the Northern Vidzeme region are rendered in relief. The date 2008 appears in the field directly below the coat of arms. The legend LEMSAL arches above the central motif in a semicircle, while the denomination 1 LATS is arranged in a corresponding semicircle below.

背面描述	The reverse composition is bisected horizontally by a body of water, above which rise the medieval ruins of Limbaži Castle alongside the tower and façade of St. John's Church, rendered in detailed relief. The lower half of the field features the mirror reflection of a Hanseatic cog sailing vessel depicted in the water. The legend LIMBAŽI arches above the central scene, while the inscription HANZAS PILSĒTA (meaning 'Hanseatic City') is arranged in a semicircle beneath the waterline composition.
