| Descrição do anverso | The coin takes the form of a doubled-over silver wire bent into a characteristic fish-hook or hairpin shape, with both terminals left blunt and slightly flattened. The rounded loop at the top and the two parallel shanks descending below are characteristic of the larin currency type widely circulated in the Indian Ocean trade network. The surface of the wire is undecorated on this face, retaining the natural texture of the hammered silver rod from which it was formed. |

| Descrição do reverso | The flattened inner face of the bent wire displays a struck Arabic or Sinhalese inscription applied to the broadened central section of the shank prior to folding. The legend, punched or hammered onto the flat surfaces of the hook, appears in a compressed script with characters arranged horizontally across the width of the flattened area. The inscription identifies the issuing authority or denomination, consistent with larin coinage conventions of the Sri Lankan and Persian Gulf trade sphere. The lettering is worn but retains discernible character forms within a raised bordered field. |
