| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field displays a two-line Arabic legend in naskh script conveying the sultan's honorific title and the Hijri regnal year. The upper line proclaims the ruler as Sultan of the Land and Sea, a traditional Islamic sovereign title, while the lower line records the year 1131 AH, corresponding to 1719 CE. The legends are arranged horizontally across the flan, consistent with the hammered production technique, and the coin exhibits the characteristic irregular edge and slightly off-centre strike of Maldivian larins of this period. |

The larin — a wire-coiled silver or billon piece — was the dominant trade currency of the Indian Ocean littoral for centuries, and the Maldives issued their own local variant as the archipelago sat directly on the dhow routes connecting the Persian Gulf to the Bay of Bengal. Muhammad Imaduddin II ruled as Sultan during a period of sustained Portuguese and later Dutch pressure on Maldivian autonomy, and coinage from his reign reflects the islands' effort to maintain independent monetary authority against repeated foreign interference. KM#14.2 distinguishes this variety from the otherwise near-identical 14.1 by the placement of the regnal date.
