Reverse description Central field displays a two-line Arabic legend in naskh script conveying the sultan's honorific title and the Hijri regnal year. The upper line proclaims the ruler as Sultan of the Land and Sea, a traditional Islamic sovereign title, while the lower line records the year 1131 AH, corresponding to 1719 CE. The legends are arranged horizontally across the flan, consistent with the hammered production technique, and the coin exhibits the characteristic irregular edge and slightly off-centre strike of Maldivian larins of this period.
