| Reverse description | The reverse presents a central circular inner frame enclosing a detailed depiction of a coconut palm, its fronds spreading across the field and a cluster of coconuts visible at the trunk's crown, evoking the agricultural theme of the FAO series. A decorative rope with a reef knot is rendered along the lower exergue, its ends extending on either side in the outer annulus, referencing the Maldivian maritime heritage. The Gregorian year '2002' appears to the upper left and the Arabic-script Hijri year '١٤٢٣' to the upper right, flanking the inner circle.
