Obverse script Arabic
Obverse lettering صالح إبن علي مالك أتطهر
(Translation: Salah the son of Ali Malik the pious.)
Reverse description Central field bearing a two-line Arabic inscription in a similarly bold and informal calligraphic hand, enclosed within a beaded circle at the coin's periphery. The legend proclaims the royal title of the issuing sultan. The lettering is deeply impressed into the gold flan and exhibits the characteristic irregularity of hammered Acehnese kupang coinage. The overall style is consistent with the obverse, reflecting the unified artistic programme of the issue.
