Obverse description Bust of Archbishop Sigismund von Schrattenbach facing right, rendered in the Baroque portrait style typical of mid-18th century ecclesiastical coinage. The effigy is draped and shows the Archbishop in clerical vestments. A circular legend commences at approximately 8 o'clock, reading the abbreviated Latin titulature for Sigismund, by the Grace of God, Archbishop and Prince of Salzburg. The lettering is set in the outer border of the field with fine spacing characteristic of milled coinage of this period.
