Obverse description Central field features two overlapping, rotationally shifted crosses forming a multi-armed star or wheel-cross motif, their intersecting arms radiating outward toward the coin's border. The longer of the two crosses bisects the surrounding Latin legend, dividing the inscription into four segments arranged in the quarters of the field. The lettering, rendered in Gothic characters, reads ARCHI / DVX * / ILLV / TRISI, referencing Maximilian I's titles of Archduke and Illustrious. The overall composition is typical of late-medieval Tyrolean hammered coinage, with irregular flan shape and variable strike depth.
