| 正面描述 | Draped bust of Johann Ludwig Adolph, Count of Wied-Runkel, facing right, with flowing wig, set within a milled border. The portrait is rendered in a modest baroque style typical of small German States coinage of the mid-18th century. The surrounding legend reads IOH LUD ADOL G Z WR I U C, abbreviated from the Latin form of the ruler's name and titles. |

Wied-Runkel was a tiny imperial county in the Westerwald, perpetually fragile and administratively overextended. John Louis Adolph ruled from 1762, which creates an immediate problem with a 1758 date — the coin predates his confirmed reign, suggesting either a posthumous attribution issue in the KM cataloging or a co-regency arrangement common among the fractured Wied line, which split repeatedly into Wied-Runkel and Wied-Neuwied branches throughout the eighteenth century. The county lost its independence entirely to Nassau-Weilburg in 1806.
