Reverse description A bold forked (pattée-formy) cross occupies the central field, with each of the four cantons bearing the letter 'H' surmounted by an antique crown, referencing Henri I. The design is symmetrical and heraldic in character, executed in the hammered style typical of late sixteenth-century Swiss principality coinage. A Latin devotional legend encircles the entire composition within a border, with a cross potent serving as a stop mark.
