| Obverse description | Within a beaded inner circle, a rampant lion facing right, crowned, set against an unadorned field. The surrounding legend reads HVR . PFALZ . LAND . MVNZ *, referencing the Kurpfalz (Electoral Palatinate) Landmünze (territorial coinage), presented in Latin characters along the periphery between the inner and outer beaded borders. |

| Additional information |
Charles Theodor inherited the Palatinate electorate in 1743 following the extinction of the Sulzbach line, and this small kreuzer dates to the very opening years of his long reign — he would go on to rule until 1799, later absorbing Bavaria in 1777. The brevity of the 1745–1746 striking window suggests a transitional issue, likely superseded by revised coinage as his administration consolidated.
