| Obverse description | Imitation of the Arms of the British East India Company occupies the central field, rendered in a simplified, provincial style. A Latin legend arcs above the shield, while a scroll beneath bears a meaningless motto in imitation of authentic Company coinage. The date 1804 appears below the scroll. A beaded border encircles the entire design. |

| Reverse description | A stylized sixteen-petalled flower, identified as the blossom of the tanjung tree (Mimusops elengi), is centrally placed in the field. A continuous Lontara script inscription encircles the floral motif, reading 'Land of Bugis, one keping AH 1250 (= AD 1834).' The Hijri date 1250 is also rendered in Western Arabic numerals at the bottom of the design. A beaded border frames the entire reverse. |
