Obverse description A humped bull (Nandi) depicted in profile facing left, rendered in the crude but vigorous style characteristic of late Vijayanagara copper coinage. A dagger or sword symbol is positioned upright in the field to the left of the bull. Above the bull, the celestial symbols of the sun and crescent moon are visible in the upper field. The design fills the irregularly shaped flan, with the devices executed in low relief typical of hammered copper kasus of this period.
