The design is enclosed within a border of raised pellets or bosses encircling the entire coin face, characteristic of South Indian Nayaka coinage of the 18th century. The execution is typical of the rough artisanal hammered technique employed by the Dharmapuri Nayaka mint. |

The reverse field is otherwise plain, with the rough irregular edge typical of hammered copper kasu coinage of the Nayaks of Dharmapuri. |
