Reverse description The reverse bears a central vertical dagger or sword motif, flanked on either side by Tamil script characters spelling the name of the issuing chief. The legend is arranged in three lines reading 'Ko-Ne-Ri-Ra-Ya-N' (Konerirayan), identifying the feudatory ruler. A row of pellets or decorative border elements is visible along the upper rim. The Tamil characters are boldly struck and relatively well-preserved despite the irregular flan and hammered technique typical of small copper kasu issues of this period.
