Obverse description A humped bull (Nandi) depicted in profile, standing to the left, rendered in low relief in the customary South Indian style. A royal umbrella (chattra) is placed above the bull, serving as a symbol of sovereign authority. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show characteristic roughness typical of hammered copper kasu coinage of the Vijayanagara feudatories. The field surrounding the central device is plain and unlettered.
