| 背面描述 | Within a linear circle bordered by a ring of raised pellets, a three-line Kannada inscription fills the central field, divided by horizontal registers. The legend reads 'Khana / Danaya / Ka ru', identifying the issuing authority as Lakkanna Dandanayaka, the feudatory commander (dandanayaka) under the Vijayanagara Empire. The script is rendered in the medieval Kannada hand characteristic of early fifteenth-century feudatory issues, with individual aksharas clearly separated by the horizontal line divisions. |

Lakkanna Dandanayaka served as a powerful military commander and administrator under Devaraya II, the Vijayanagara ruler whose reign marked the empire's greatest territorial expansion in the first half of the fifteenth century. The right of subordinate commanders to strike their own copper currency — distinct from royal gold — reflects the considerable administrative autonomy the Vijayanagara court extended to its senior dandanayakas, a practice without close parallel in contemporary Deccan sultanates.
