Reverse description Central device depicts a sinuous Chinese imperial dragon in high relief, shown in three-quarter view coiling around a flaming pearl at centre. The dragon is rendered with fine scale detailing, clawed feet, and an elaborate mane, in the style characteristic of late Qing provincial coinage. A circular English-language legend surrounds the dragon in the outer field, naming the dynasty, reign year, and issuing authority. The design is contained within the reeded rim with no inner border ring.
