| Obverse description | Central vignette in an oval frame presents the Yudai (Jade Belt) Bridge set amid a tree-lined landscape, printed in brown on an intricate guilloche underprint. The denomination 壹角 appears in large Chinese characters to the left and right of the central vignette, with the place name 張家口 (Kalgan) in oval cartouches on both sides.
