The coin has no surrounding legend, with the monogram and crown occupying nearly the full flan. The edge of the coin shows a fine milled border. The design is rendered in a bold, slightly archaic baroque style characteristic of late 17th-century Danish coinage. |

Below the date, flanked by small pellets, appear the mintmaster initials 'G · S ·' identifying mintmaster Georg Schrötter of the Copenhagen Mint. A milled border runs around the entire periphery of the reverse. |
