Obverse description Central field displays a cross pattée with the initial letters W, E, R, N arranged in the four quadrants, each initial identifying Archbishop Werner von Falkenstein. A small cluster of pellets occupies the center of the cross, serving as an ornamental device. The letters are rendered in a bold Gothic hand characteristic of late 14th- to early 15th-century Rhenish coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, with a plain raised rim enclosing the design. The overall execution is typical of small hammered billon heller coinage from the Trier mint.
