The pine cone, the ancient heraldic symbol of the city of Augsburg, is rendered in high relief with careful detailing of its scales. Flanking foliate sprays frame the central device symmetrically within the octagonal flan. The field is plain, with no surrounding legend. | Beschrijving keerzijde | Two crossed palm fronds arranged in saltire (X-form) dominate the central field, their tips extending toward the four diagonal corners of the octagonal flan. The date 1756 is divided by the crossed fronds, with '17' to the left and '56' to the right. A small decorative cluster of berries or buds appears above the crossing point, and a further ornamental device is visible below.
