| Descrizione del rovescio | Two crossed palm fronds arranged in saltire (X-form) dominate the central field, their tips extending toward the four diagonal corners of the octagonal flan. The date 1756 is divided by the crossed fronds, with '17' to the left and '56' to the right. A small decorative cluster of berries or buds appears above the crossing point, and a further ornamental device is visible below. A border of fine milling or beading runs along the inner edge of the octagonal rim, framing the design. The composition is characteristic of the small-denomination pattern issues of Augsburg. |
