| Obverse description | Within a plain rectangular frame, a stylized open hand depicted in high relief, fingers pointing upward, rendered in a crude but bold medieval hammered style characteristic of small bracteate-influenced pfennig coinage. The hand motif serves as the heraldic emblem of the County of Wertheim. The flan is irregular and slightly cupped, consistent with hand-hammered production of the late 14th century. |
