Beschrijving voorzijde	Green, orange and multicolour note with a guilloche underprint forming the central field. The text block bears the full legal inscription in Dutch, with the denomination and issuing authority rendered in letterpress. Serial number consisting of one or two prefix letters followed by six digits appears on the face.
Opschrift voorzijde	SILVERBON - SURINAME GROOT EEN GULDEN Wordt ter betaling aangenomen door de Surinaamsche Bank en aan alle landskassen. Inwisselbaar in zilver na aankondiging. Paramaribo, 1 Augustus 1920. (Translation: Silver Voucher - Suriname Big One Gulden Is accepted for payment by the Surinaamsche Bank and to all national treasuries. Redeemable in silver upon announcement. Paramaribo, August 1, 1920.)
Beschrijving keerzijde	Printed in brown, the reverse is dominated by a central oval guilloche rosette framed by ornate scrollwork borders. The country name SURINAME arcs across the top in bold lettering, with EEN GULDEN displayed along the lower margin. Numeral 1 corner pieces are set within decorative cartouches at each corner, and vertical side panels carry the legend WETTIG BETAALMIDDEL flanking the central text block containing the anti-counterfeiting warning.
