The circumferential Latin legend reads ✠ : GVLES : ET : BONIFACIVS, naming the two co-ruling marquises Guglielmo and Bonifacio, separated by stops and running between the beaded border and the outer rim. The overall style is consistent with North Italian hammered grossi of the early fourteenth century. |
