Reverse description The reverse is entirely typographic in design, presenting the denomination in two horizontal lines across the central field: the numeral 1 above the word GROSCHEN in large raised letters, separated by a horizontal rule. The peripheral legend, contained within a beaded border, reads 24 EINEN THALER in the upper arc and SCHEIDEMÜNZE in the lower arc, indicating the coin's fractional value as a subsidiary currency piece equal to one twenty-fourth of a Thaler.
