| Beschrijving voorzijde | A rampant lion to the left occupies the central field within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding border consists of twelve small circles, the uppermost containing a small rampant lion and the remaining eleven each enclosing a trefoil or leaf ornament. The overall design follows the Gothic heraldic tradition characteristic of the County of Loon coinage. The outer legend in uncial Latin characters is separated from the inner border by a plain rim. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A large cross pattée extends to the borders of the coin, dividing the field into four quarters and bisecting a beaded inner circle. Within the inner circle the legend is arranged in two concentric arcs around the cross. An outer legend naming the issuing count runs between the inner circle and the coin's edge. The execution is typical of mid-14th-century Mosan hammered silver groats, with bold Gothic lettering rendered in uncial script. |
